3 Safety Instructions
WARNING
Read all safety warnings and instructions.
Failure to
follow the warnings and instructions may result in
electric shock, fire and/or serious injury.
Read and retain all the safety and operating instructions
for future reference.
The term “power tool” used in these instructions refers to your
mains-operated (corded) power tool or battery-operated (cordless)
power tool.
1. Work area safety
a)
Keep your work area clean and well lit.
Clutter and insufficient lighting
can cause accidents.
b)
Do not operate power tools in explosive environments containing
flammable liquids, gases or dusts.
Power tools can produce sparks, which
could ignite dusts or fumes.
c) While operating a power tool, keep children and bystanders away from
the work place.
You can lose control of the tool if you are distracted.
2. Electricity safety
a)
Make sure the power cord plug matches the mains socket. Do not modify
the plug in any way. Do not use any plug adapter for powering tools
that require protective grounding.
Using the original plug and matching
mains socket will minimize the risk of electric shock.
b)
Avoid touching grounded objects, such as pipes, radiators, ranges or
refrigerators while operating the tool.
Your body can act as a grounding
conductor, which increases the risk of electric shock.
c) Never expose power tools to rain or moisture.
Water penetration will
increase the risk of electric shock.
d)
Never use the power cord for any unauthorized purpose. Do not carry
or hang the tool by the cord and do not pull the cord to remove the plug
from the socket. Protect the cord from high temperatures, oil, sharp
edges and moving parts of equipment.
Damaged or entangled cords will
increase the risk of electric shock.
e)
Use only suitable extension cords for power tools operated outdoors.
Use of a cord suitable for outdoor use reduces the risk of electric shock.
f) If you cannot avoid using power tools in a humid environment, use a
residual current device (RCD) protected supply.
This will minimize the
risk of electric shock.
