Mailbox Greeting Record Time
The recording time of a Mailbox Greeting has increased from 10 to 30
seconds.
Increased Number and Changes to Mailboxes
¾
Additonal Mailboxes
The total number of Mailboxes has increased to 66. Breakdown of this
total is:
Subscriber - The number of Subscriber Mailboxes is increased to 50
(49 if a FAX is installed).
Call Routing Mailbox - This release has an additional Call Routing
Mailbox (807). Therefore, NVM-2 has four Call Routing Mailboxes
(802, 803, 804 and 807). Call Routing Mailbox 807 has the same
default schedule for playing the Main Greeting as Call Routing Mailbox
802. That is, Monday through Friday starting at 5 PM.
Trunk Mailboxes - NVM-2 supports up to 8 Trunk Mailboxes,
depending the phone system integration. The Trunk Mailboxes have no
programmable options (only the starting trunk number can be changed.)
The Voice Mail uses these Trunk Mailboxes for information from the
phone system.
Other Mailboxes - There is no change in number for the remaining
mailbox types: two Announcement Mailboxes, one Announcment
Mailbox and one Future Delivery Mailbox.
¾
Message Limit for Subscriber Mailboxes
When callers tried to reach a Subscriber Mailbox that has Message
Limit set to zero, they heard: Extension XX does not exist. Callers
now hear: That mailbox is full.
Changes for the Dial Action Tables
¾
Additional Dial Action Table (Dialing Options Menu)
The total number of Dial Action Tables (DATs) has increased from
three to four. DAT 4 corresponds to Call Routing Mailbox 807. The
default key assignements are the same as those for DAT 1.
¾
Additions/Changes to DAT Entries
The Timeout Function is now RECORD 2 for DATs 2 and 3. This
means that after hours, callers are given the option to record a
message for the lowest numbered extension if they do not dial
anything after the Main Greeting finishes playing. After the Main
Greeting finishes, a caller hears, Recording, followed by a beep.
When programming DATs, use *6 to assign an “X”. For example,
for two digit extension numbers, enter *6*6.
