Type A and press Enter. This will make an entry slot available on
the Tone Table. The system prompts:

Enter the next available tone ID. In the previous Tone Table, the
list contained nine tones (ID’s 1 through 9). So, in this case, you
would enter 10. Press Enter. The Tone Table updates with this
new ID. Notice that all entries in all the columns for this new ID
are zeros. At this point, the tone is invalid so you must use the
learn, edit or delete procedure.
To Learn tones:
1.
If you are at the System Configuration Management Program’s
Main Menu, press T. The Tone Table and list of options are
displayed. Otherwise, continue with step 2.

If you are at the Tone Table Options Menu, type L, and press
Enter.
3.
Set up an extension to produce the busy or ring tone you want to
learn. For example, to learn busy tone, make an extension busy.
For ring tone, call the extension and have it remain unanswered.
To learn dial tone, you don’t have to call extensions. See the fields
on the next page.

Make entries in the Learn Tone fields (see next page). Press Enter
after each entry. To leave the entries at the default, press only the
Enter key to advance to the next field.
5.
After the last field, press Enter to learn the tone. You will receive
notification when the procedure is complete. The following error
message may appear:
no loop current detected
stopping the system
If so, check to make sure the Voice Mail ports are connect to the
phone system.
6.
Edit the tone if required (see Editing and Deleting Tones).
