Editing System Options Parameters (cont’d)

Ringdown String

(Applies only to some phone systems.)
This is the string that the Voice Mail dials so that certain features will
work correctly.  This string must match the programmed Ringdown
string
 in the telephone system.

DEFAULT

ENTRIES

:

Up to 10 digits including the codes below:
F

- Flash

W - Wait for dial tone
S - Wait for any type of sound
P - Pause (Pauses 2 sec, dials next digit)
M - Monitored pause (Pauses 2 sec, dials next digit if no 
busy/reorder tone; otherwise ends call.)
A - Analyzed pause (Pauses 2 sec, dials next digit if  no  

   busy/reorder tone; otherwise, ends call.)

NOTES

To set the Flash timer (if you must enter a Flash in this string,
see flashtm in Global Parameters).

RNA, Hold retrieval string

This string takes an unanswered Auto Attendant screened transfer off of
Hold so that the Auto Attendant can further process the call.
