Caller I.D. AutomaticTransfer
The Automated Attendant knows where to transfer a call just by looking at the caller’s telephone
number, which is the Caller I.D. or identification. Upon dialing into the Voice Mail system, the
incoming caller does not hear the Welcome Message or Instruction Menu and does not have to dial
any digits.
To get the transfer to work, you use the Caller I.D. Table to associate a telephone number with an
extension or mailbox. For example, suppose the president of the company has extension 300, and
he frequently receives calls from telephone number 333-1111. In the Caller I.D. Table, you would
associate 333-1111 with extension 300, so that the Automated Attendant will automatically transfer
calls from 333-1111 to the president’s extension.
You can enter up to 200 numbers in the Caller I.D.
To access the Customize Caller I.D. Table feature:

Click Customize from the menu bar to display the Customize menu shown below.
Availability:
All Versions of the NT Voice Mail. However, the phone system must sup-
port Caller I.D (such as the ONYX and the Nitsuko 24i/384i).
