Custom izi ng Fax On-Demand
FAX-On-Demand
After the FAX option has been purchased and installed, the Voice Mail system uses the FAX-On-
Demand feature to do both of the following:
Q
store FAX documents on its hard disk and/or on floppy disks
Q
fax them
—
send them as FAX callouts
—
to callers upon request.
FAX Documents
The Voice Mail contains up to 100 FAX slots, which are numbered 1 through 100. To customize the
FAX-On-Demand feature, you load each of your FAX documents from the hard drive or a floppy
disk into one of the FAX slots or directly into a FAX machine.
The Voice Mail also provides up to 16 FAX distribution lists for scheduling FAX callouts. Each list
lets the Voice Mail fax up to 10 FAX documents to a maximum of 100 FAX numbers on the date
and time you select, so that you can customize how these documents will be distributed. You can
also customize which of 12 ports will be used for FAX callouts and which tenant will receive the
callouts via each fax port.
Once you customize the FAX-On-Demand feature as explained in this section, Voice Mail callers
will then be able to:
Q
select the document they want by pressing a key on their Touch Tone phones, and
Q
use a FAX telephone
—
a phone connected to a FAX machine
—
to send the selected FAX to
a Subscriber, Guest, or Message Center mailbox.
(For more information about sending a FAX, see the VoiceSupport FAX-ON-DEMAND Setup
Guide.)
