Options also includes these three check boxes: In Service, Status Monitor, and Self Test.
In Service
The value in the In Service check box determines whether this feature will be enabled or dis-
abled. When enabled, the port will be in service.
Status Monitor
The value in the Status Monitor check box determines whether this feature will be enabled or
disabled. When enabled, the Voice Mail will use the port to monitor the status of any extension,
such as busy or in Do Not Disturb (DND), and to report to the caller about that status. For
example, if an extension is busy, the Voice Mail would immediately tell the caller, Extension
367 is busy.
Using this feature saves time in processing Automated Attendant screened transfers.
