Basic Programming for the NT Voice Mail
This section explains the initial programming that will help you to get your NT Voice Mail “up and
running.” For further programming instructions, see Chapter 3 (Programming) beginning on
page 91. To program this Voice Mail, you need to have a good working knowledge of Windows NT
(including its operation and terminology).
Step 1: Modify Time and Date
The NT Voice Mail has a calendar and an internal clock. The date on the calendar and the time on
the clock must be set in order for the Voice Mail to work correctly.
The default setting for the date is the current Date in USA. The default setting for the time is USA
Eastern Time. However, if these settings are different in the place where your Voice Mail is
located, you may wish to change (modify) them, so that they match the actual date and time of your
location. In this case, use the spaces below to enter the date and time to be modified.

To modify the default date and/or time settings:
1.
Double-click the My Computer icon on the desktop.
2.
Double-click the Control Panel icon on the My Computer window.
3.
Double-click the icon on the Control Panel window.
4.
Reset the month, year, and date on the Date panel at the left of the Date/Time Properties
window.
5.
To reset the time on the Time panel at the right of the Date/Time Properties
window:
Click to set the time on the scroll-down window below the clock.
6.
To change the clock’s time zone:
a. Click the Time Zone tab.
b. Select a time zone from the Time Zone scroll-down list.
c. If you wish, enable Automatically adjust clock for daylight savings changes.
d. Click the OK button.
7.
Call System Administrator Mailbox: Dial S A (7 2) and T I (8 4)
Check the time and date that you set or reset above.
