Chapter 1: Installation
To program Directory Dialing by first name or last name (cont’d):
Recording a Name for a Mailbox
1.
Select the Directory Dialing scheme (DIRL or DIRL) you want to apply to the mailbox names
in your Voice Mail system.
2.
Log onto the System Administrator Mailbox.
3.
Dial the Security Code, if required.
4.
Press S A (7 2) for the System Administrator Menu.
5.
Press N (6) to enter the Recording Mode for recording the name.
6.
Follow the voice prompts.
Make sure that you record the mailbox name according to the same scheme you selected in
Step 1 above.
7.
Repeat Step 6 in order to record a name for every other mailbox in your system.
Assigning a Directory List to a Mailbox
1.
Click Customize on the menu bar, and select Mailbox Options on the Customize menu.
2.
Select Edit on the Mailbox Options menu.
3.
Click to select the General tab.
4.
Assign a desired value to the Directory List, and enter that value in the Directory List box.
5.
Click the Next button, and repeat Step 4 for the next mailbox to which you are assigning the
Directory List.
6.
Repeat Step 5 until you have assigned the Directory List to every mailbox in your Voice Mail
system.
7.
Click the OK button to save your assignments.
Assigning a Call Routing Mailbox to Directory List
1.
Click Customize on the menu bar, and select Mailbox Options on the Customize menu.
2.
Select Edit on the Mailbox Options menu.
3.
On the Mailbox Range dialog box:
Click to uncheck every Mailbox Type except Call Routing, and click the OK button.
4.
On the Mailbox Options dialog box:
Click to select the Call Handling tab.
5.
In the Directory List to Use box on the Call Handling tab:
Enter the number of the Directory List that you used in the previous procedure.
6.
In the Dial Action Table box on the Call Handling tab:
Enter the number of the DAT that you plan to assign to the Call Routing Mailbox.
7.
Click the OK button to save your assignments.
