Voice Prompts (cont’d)
Voice Mail Customization
If desired, the System Administrator cancustomize all the system voice prompts by re-record-
ing them so that company greetings, names, and prompts are recorded in the same voice.
Bilingual Voice Prompts
The NT Voice Mail can accomodate voice prompts in two languages. These languages are
configured at the factory as two versions of American English: Mneumonic (which uses letters
in the prompts) and Numeric (which uses numbers in the prompts). In programming, you can
change which language (Mneumonic English or Numeric English) is to be used as the default
mailbox language. You can make this selection on a system-wide basis or on a mailbox-by-
mailbox basis when you configure Mailbox Options.
You can set up the voice prompts so that:
O
a language plays on a specific trunk. This setting overrides the system-wide setting.
O
a language is assigned to a dialpad key. This setup allows callers to press a key to select a
different language.
O
a language is assigned to a Subscriber, Guest or Message Center Mailbox. The Voice Mail
plays the assigned language when callers reach these mailboxes.
