Chapter 2: Features
Call Blocking
Prevents a Subscriber extension from receiving Automated Attendant calls. After announcing
Extension XXX is not available, the Automated Attendant lets the caller leave a message or use a
different option.

Q
(Optional) Customize, Mailbox Options, Edit, Mailbox #
To reroute blocked callers, assign Next Call Routing Mailbox to Subscriber Mailbox. Then
enter reroute destination for Key 0 in the Dial Action Table for the Next Call Routing Mailbox.
Call Parking/Paging
Parks (holds) a caller at a Subscriber extension and then pages the Subscriber by playing the
Subscriber's recorded Paging Message over a page zone in the phone system. For example: John
Smith would record a Paging Message something like this: John Smith. You have a call parked at
your extension. After the Paging Message plays, the Subscriber can pick up the call from any
extension by dialing the pickup code used in the phone system.
Call Parking/Paging applies to two types of callers:
Q
Auto Attendant callers who transfer to the Subscriber extension.
Q
callers who dial the Subscriber's direct line while only unanswered calls are forwarded to the
Subscriber Mailbox.
If the Subscriber’s Paging Message is ON, the Voice Mail immediately parks an Automated
Attendant caller and pages the Subscriber without ringing the extension. However, if the Sub-
scriber’s Paging Message is OFF, the Voice Mail rings the Subscriber’s extension. If the extension
does not answer after a pre-programmed number of rings, the Voice Mail says: Extension XXX (or
name) does not answer. Then the Voice Mail lets the caller leave a message, park and page, or
select other routing options.
Call Parking/Paging is very useful for Subscribers who areoften away from their desks.
