Network Mailbox
Provides the Voice Mail Networking option, so that NT Voice Mail users can exchange mes-
sages with any other Voice Mail system that allows AMIS Networking. Mailbox users can call
their mailboxes and record a message for someone who is using a different Voice Mail system.
The NT Voice Mail collects all of the recorded “network messages” in the Network Mailbox
and sends them to the other Voice Mail systems at the pre-programmed time(s). Mailbox users
can also receive messages from other AMIS-compatible Voice Mail systems.
The use of this mailbox makes it easy to transfer messages between the NT Voice Mail instal-
lation site and its branch offices, corporate offices, vendors, and customers.
See the information that came with your AMIS Networking option.
Next Call Routing Mailbox
Provides callers with routing and dialing options after they contact a Subscriber, Message
Center, Interactive, or
FAX
Mailbox and leave a message there. Most importantly: Callers can
dial another extension number after leaving a message.
By letting callers re-route their calls, the Next Call Routing Mailbox serves as a secondary
Automated Attendant. For example: Once the callers enter a mailbox to leave a message, the
Next Call Routing Mailbox lets them re-route their calls to a pre-programmed destination, such
as the operator (by pressing 0 after the beep).
