Grounding
The tool should be grounded while in use to protect the operator from electric shock. The tool is
equipped with a thee-conductor cord and thee-prong grounding-type plug to fit the proper
grounding-type receptacle.
WARNING
For safe use of adapters, the outlet box must be grounded. If there is any doubt, have a qualified
electrician check connections.
Use only 3-wire extension cords that have 3-prong grounding type plugs and 3 pole receptacles
that accept the plug. Replace or repair damaged cords.

Antistatic Screwdriver DLV7300-BKU
The DLV7300-BKU is an antistatic screwdriver having a connection cord, frame, start lever, and
forward/reverse selector all made of antistatic materials and also having a bit ground structure.
When combined with a standard controller DLC1213 (antistatic, suited for a bit ground), this
product can serve as an antistatic one.
It has the same output torque and free speed as the standard type.
WARNING
Pay attention that an abnormal voltage or anything abnormal is not generated in the ground, or
you may get an electric shock.
The bit and exposed metal portions of the driver and the ground terminal of the power cord for
the controller are interconnected with resistances less than 10
Ω
. To protect people, therefore,
pay attention that an abnormal voltage or anything abnormal is not generated in the ground.
CAUTION
Be sure to ground the ground terminal of the power cord.
If the ground terminal is not securely grounded, static electricity generated in the bit portion
cannot go to the ground. The antistatic system then fails.
The prolonged use of the screwdriver will reduce the continuity between the bit and the ground
terminal of the power cord for the controller. A periodic overhaul is therefore needed.
The resistance between the bit and the ground terminal of the power cord for the controller
cannot be accurately measured by measuring the resistance at weak currents as those generated
by commercially available testers and something similar.
To measure accurate resistances requires the determination of the resistance by means of a bit
manufactured by Nitto Kohki with the voltage and current generated when a current of 1A is
applied between the tip of the bit and the ground terminal of the power cord for the controller.
If continuity is normal, the resistance will be no more than 10
Ω
.
