Automatically Receiver Upgrade
A search for new software and new channels is automatically
performed each night between 00 - 06. New software may in-
clude new or improved features for existing menus.
When new software/new channels are available they will be
downloaded and installed. If the box is in standby mode, the card
has to be in the slot in order for the procedure to work.
If you are watching TV between 00 - 06 you will get a screen mes-
sage asking whether you want to start the search procedure or
not. The upgrade procedure will start in about 1 minute if you do
not cancel it by pressing any button on the remote control.
If you decide not to start the procedure and go on watching TV
instead, the search procedure will be performed the next night.
NEVER turn off the Mediamaster, never use the remote con-
trol or disconnect the network socket cable during the down-
load procedure. This will damage the software and the re-
ceiver may have to be sent in for service.

Information about the modem
This equipment has been approved pursuant to Council Decision
98/482/EC [CTR 21] for pan-European single terminal connection
to the Public Switched telephone Network (PSTN). However, due
to differences between the individual PSTNs provided in differ-
ent countries, the approval does not, of itself, give an uncondi-
tional assurance of successful operation on every PSTN termina-
tion point.
In the event of problems, you sholud contact your equipment sup-
plier in the first instance.
Modem configuration
The Mediamaster is equipped with a built in telephone modem.
Via the modem so called “interactive services”, such as e.g. or-
dering movies, can be performed.
When configuring the modem, the following parameters have to
be set.
Pulse or tone
: Select the alternative valid for your system. If in
doubt, please contact your phone operator.
Prefix
: If the connection has to pass a switch board, enter the
digit that will open the line.
