GPS SNR test
Context
Checks the GPS ASIC RF and GPS RF path from the antenna/test connector to the GPS ASIC.
Steps
1.
Place the phone in the flash adapter or connect a data cable to the phone.
2.
Inject 1575.52 MHz tone at the GPS antenna test connector at a level of -115 dBm and click Start.
3.
Start
Phoenix
service software.
4.
Select the
Bus Method
(FBUS or USB) and
Port
from the
Connections
box.
5.
Choose File
→
Scan Product.
6.
Choose Testing
→
GPS Control.
7.
Select the ME Test tab.
8.
Under Tests, check Input signal SNR.
9.
Select Signal SNR parameters.
10. Type in the correct parameters:
•
Frequency offset limit (Hz)
: 3940
•
Signal frequency (Hz)
: 1575420000
•
Signal level (dBHz)
: 57
•
Signal level offset limit (dBHz)
: (Galvanic) 5 or (Radiated) 10
11. Click Start test.
Results
For Pin = -115 dBm and neglible other losses, the expected result ranges are:
