How to set up a DNS
A domain name server (DNS) translates
user-friendly website addresses; for example,
www .nokia .com
, into the registered IP address
assigned for that domain . Your computer uses
a domain name server to look up the domain
name you’re trying to access .
1 . On the home screen as shown in Figure 1,
select
Advanced ONT Settings
.
2 . This brings you to a window [Figure 2]
with 12 submenus .
The Advanced ONT Settings menu allows
you to configure the following residential
gateway functions: DHCP, DNS, Firewall,
MAC Filter, IP Filter, URL Filter, NTP, DMZ,
ALG, Port Forwarding, DDNS and Password .
