Charging and Operating Times
The charging and operating times, depending on the number of bat-
tery packs installed, are shown in the following table.

The total charging time when there are two battery packs installed in
the pen computer and two battery packs installed in the AC adapter/re-
charger (for a total of four battery packs, the maximum) is seven
hours.
The operating time varies according to the power management set-
tings, the application software being used, etc.

CAUTION:
The lithium ion batteries used in these battery packs suffer a clear
deterioration in performance if they are exposed to high temperatures
for an extended period of time. These batteries should be stored in a
cool, dry location.

CAUTION:
In order to prevent the batteries from deteriorating, they should be
charged at least once every six months, even if they are not being to
be used.
