aBOUt the Sample Synth
the versatile Sample Synth section comes with a large number of
sample instruments right out of the box. additional sample instruments
can be found in the nord Sample library section of the www.
nordkeyboards.com website, and are downloaded to the instrument
using the nord Sound manager software. Custom user sample
instruments can be created from any sound source using the nord
Sample editor 3 application, also found on the nord website.
mOnOphOnIC Sample InStRUmentS
Some sample instruments, particularly in the Synth lead and Synth
Bass categories are configured as monophonic legato instruments. this
means that they behave and sound as when played on a traditional,
monophonic synthesizer – with the envelope being triggered on
detached strokes only.
The monophonic legato configuration can not be turned off or on
manually. Similar sounds for polyphonic playing can for instance be
found in the Synth Classic category.
