Nordforest Mechanical Titan 80 Felling Wedge

Mode of operation
The Nordforest Titan 80 Mechanical Felling Wedge is a felling tool
that may solely be used in timber harvesting. The Nordforest Titan 80
Mechanical Felling Wedge is pressed into the prepared felling cut in the
tree trunk. There is a mark on the spring steel plates which represents
the limit to which the Nordforest Titan 80 Mechanical Felling Wedge
must be inserted into the tree truck. The teeth rows on the spring
steel plates bite into the vertical wood fibres. Between the spring
steel plates, there is a lifting wedge made of special plastic. When the
ratchet is turned anti-clockwise, the shaft is driven, the drive nut on the
shaft moves and pushes the special plastic lifting wedge forwards. The
lifting wedge can be pushed up to 16 cm forwards. When the ratchet
is turned clockwise, the special plastic lifting wedge is retracted. In the
case of tree with a very large girth, two Nordforest Titan 80 Mechanical
Felling Wedges can be used side by side.
Wearing parts
Wearing parts such as spring steel plates, tapered roller bearings, shaft
and drive nut are excluded from warranty claims.
