ATTENTION
Risk of damage to lifting wedge if 60% felling cut is too
small!
If the 60% felling cut is smaller than 25 cm, the lifting wedge can be
squeezed out and the trapezoidal winding spindle damaged.

Make sure that the 60% felling cut is at least 25 cm long. If the
Nordforest Titan 80 Mechanical Felling Wedge is to be set back,
the felling cut must be approx. 30 cm.

Mark the course of the felling cut.
Inserting safety wedge
A safety wedge must be introduced in order to hold the felling cut
open and secure the trunk.
Use aluminium or plastic safety wedges.
WARNING
Risk of injury due to falling and dead branches!
When the safety wedge is driven into the trunk, branches can fall
causing severe injuries.

Try to drive in the safety wedge into the trunk with the minimum
of impacts.

At the same time, observe the tree top.
