Calibrating the Conveyor Width

4. Touch the digit pads to enter a conveyor width equaled to the
previously measured PCB width. Touch the ENTER pad.
5. Touch the CONVEYOR pad. Touch ENTER. Follow the message
prompts on the
SET-UP SCREEN menu.
6. Touch the TO MENU pad to enter the
CONFORMAL COATING
CURING menu. Touch the Raise Cover pad and follow the
instructions displayed.
7. Align and place the PCB on the moving conveyor. Check the
calibration of the rail width through out the conveyor as follows:
a. Check for a +/– 0.635 mm (+/– 0.025 in.) side to side PCB
movement at the oven’s entrance and exit lead screws.
b. Check for a +/– 0.254 mm (+/– 0.01 in.) side to side PCB
movement on the conveyor through the process cavity.
8. Perform the following steps when the conveyor is out of calibration:
a. Write down the difference between the existing rail position and
the desired calibrated rail position.
b. Turn the oven off.
c. Loosen the miter gear set screws (hinged side). Manually set the
rail width to the proper calibrated position.
d. Tighten the miter gear sprocket set screws.
9. If necessary, perform the following tasks to readjust the limit switch
board (3):
a. Remove the calibration box cover (2).
b. Adjust the switch on the limit switch board (3) to one half the
measurement taken in step 3a.
c. Install the calibration box cover (2).
10. Install all access panels on the oven.
11. Using a flat blade screwdriver, turn the cover manual override
counter-clockwise to lower the oven cover.
