Variable definitions
The following table describes the variables and values for configuring class maps.
Configuring QoS marking
Complete this procedure to mark outgoing packets with a DSCP value and/or a 802.1p priority
value, and place the outgoing packets in a specific QoS queue. The queue where the packet is
placed determines the priority of transmission for the packet. For example, voice packets should be
destined for strict priority queues, while email packets have lower priority and can be delayed
without notice.

Class Map ID
Type
the Class Map identifier.
The value ranges from 1 to 2147483647.
Policy Map ID
Type
the Policy Map identifier.
The value ranges from 1 to 2147483647.
Source IP Address
Type the source IP address that uniquely defines a packet flow.
Source Subnet Mask
Type
the subnet mask for the source IP address.
Destination IP Address
Type
the destination IP address that uniquely defines a packet flow.
Destination Subnet Mask
Type
the destination subnet mask address for the destination IP address.
Protocol
Select the protocol ID to identify the packet flow. Select one of the
following options:
•
Any – both TCP or UDP packets are classified using the class map.
•
TCP – only TCP packets are classified using the class map.
•
UDP – only UDP packets are classified using the class map.
Source Port
Type the source port.
The value ranges from 1 to 65535.
Destination Port
Type the destination port.
The value ranges from 1 to 65535.
Incoming DSCP
Type the incoming Differentiated Services Code Point (DSCP).
The value ranges from 0 to 63.
IP Interface
Select the interface from the list or select Any for any interface to be used
for the class map.
The default value is Any.
