Introduction
Note: After the subscriber joins the IM Chat room, the IM Chat
service communicates directly with the MCS client. If the client is
a Multimedia PC Client and is located behind a NAT or firewall,
the client uses the SIP-Ping-keep-alive mechanism to maintain the
signaling channel through the NAT or firewall.

Meet Me Audio Conferencing service
The Meet Me Audio Conferencing service provides users with their own
private conferencing resource that is available for meetings at anytime—no
reservations are required.
Meet Me Audio Conferencing is enabled in the service package. A system
administrator provides default access numbers. Every user who has this
feature turned on in their service package can act as a chairperson when
they need to set up a conference call.
MAS Meet Me conferencing provides a configurable fast start option, in
which the conference starts with the first party to arrive, rather than waiting
on hold for the chairperson to arrive. Each chairperson can configure this
feature.
Participants are given the dial-in number, an access code that uniquely
identifies the particular conference, and the date and time of the meeting.
Participants who dial in early are put on hold and connected to an audio
stream of music, advertisements, or information that you configured. The
music played to participants waiting on hold is played from the MAS Meet
Me Audio Conferencing service. The music is played from audio files stored
locally on the MAS Meet Me Audio Conferencing service server. Audio files
are customer-provided. While on hold, the party can also be configured to
receive a live (Internet radio) stream, in addition to the static audio files
stored on the MAS.
Conference participants are joined to the conference bridge by the
chairperson, or by the fast start option as they arrive. The chairperson can
choose, in their personal agent, to allow the conference call to continue in
the event the chairperson leaves the bridge. When enabled, this feature can
prevent the bridge from disconnecting all participants if the chairperson
accidentally disconnects.
