Media Application Server platform
The NTVW01CG blade server includes four DIMM slots for up to 4 GB of
DRAM, although the Media Application Server currently uses only 1 GB of
DRAM. Each NTVW01CG blade server supports up to two internal EIDE
2.5-in hard drives, although the Media Application Server currently uses
only one 40 GB EIDE hard drive.
The NTVW01CH and NTVW01CV blade servers include four DIMM slots for
up to four GBs of DRAM. Each NTVW01CH and NTVW01CV blade server
supports up to two internal SCSI hard drives.
The Dual SCSI expansion unit contains a single Ultra-320 73 GB SCSI
hot-swappable hard disk drive.
System management of each HS20 blade server, for operations such as
firmware updates, is handled through the IBM eServer BladeCenter or
BladeCenter T management module(s).
On the front of each IBM HS20 blade server there is an indicator and
control panel that provides information relating to that blade server (see
Figure 11 "IBM HS20 blade server indicators and controls" (page 58)
). All
of the indicators have predefined system functions. These indicators do
not provide information relating to Media Application Server application
functions or operating states.
