1) ALWAYS ground the generator

“PREPARING THE GENERATOR
FOR USE” section).

either directly or with an extension
cord.

3) Use a ground fault circuit
interrupter (GFCI) in highly
conductive areas such as metal
decking or steel work. GFCIs are
available in-line with some
extension cords.

4) Do not use in rainy or wet
conditions.

5) Do not touch bare wires or
receptacles (outlets).

6) Do not allow children
unqualified persons to operate.
