Safety instructions
Carefully read this instruction manual before commencing the installation.
The distributor is not liable for any damages if the installation does not comply
with these instructions. Keep this instruction manual for future reference.
All light fittings must be installed correctly to avoid danger to life and material.
This light fitting is made for fixed installation and requires installation by a
qualified electrician.
Repairs must be carried out by a qualified electrician.
To fulfill the IP 44 rating, the downlight must be flush mounted into a waterproof
and homogeneous ceiling where water cannot reach the recessed parts.
Before cleaning the downlight disconnect from mains and allow the downlight
to cool down. Only use a dry cloth and never use detergent or other strong
fluids.
The light fixture is only made for cable installation.
This is a class II luminarie and shall not be connected to earth/ground.
If the protective glass in front of the bulb is broken it must be replaced
immediately.
Mounting in ceiling
All light fittings generate heat and therefore an area of free air is required around
the downlight. See below drawings for minimum requirements. When the
downlight is mounted into a ceiling
with insulation
, the insulation must be kept
away from the fitting by a mounting box. The box can be purchased or built
in for example wood. When mounted in ceilings
without
insulation make sure
good ventilation around the downlight is ensured.
Installation
Ensure power is disconnected before commencing the installation. Connect
the downlight to 220-240V ac power supply. The fixture is double insulated, class
II, and should not be connected to earth/ground. Connect phase wire L,
usually black or brown, and neutral N blue to terminals marked with L and N.
Change of bulb
Ensure power is disconnected to the fixture before attempting to change the
bulbs. Let the bulb cool down before replacement otherwise risk of burns may
occur. Turn the front ring anticlockwise to change the bulb.
This downlight is adapted to fit different kinds of bulbs with GU10 socket.
