Ballistic#Recovery#System#(BRS#Parachute)#
!
The!BRS!ballistic!recovery!system!is!a!rocket!deployed!emergency!parachute!attached!
to!the!back!frame!under!the!engine.!!Pulling!the!activation!handle!activates!the!rocket!
and!deploys!the!parachute!in!.4!seconds.!!The!parachute!lines!are!equipped!with!a!ring!
that!slows!the!shock!opening!of!the!parachute.!!The!BRS!should!only!be!used!when!no!
other!safe!option!is!available!for!landing!such!as!over!water!or!forest.!!The!activation!
handle!should!always!have!the!safety!pin!installed!on!the!ground!and!removed!prior!to!
flight.!!

Procedure&to&deploy&the&emergency¶chute:&
1.! Turn!off!both!mag!switches.!
2.! Pull!activation!handle!!(The!activation!handle!comes!out!approx.!4”)!
3.! Tighten!seat!belts!and!shoulder!harness!for!landing.!
