Chapter 7 - Creating Routes
4. As you pass the location of each new waypoint, briefly
press the
key, remembering to press the key
only briefly.
The boat's location is saved as a waypoint in the unit's
memory, and the waypoint is automatically added to the
route being saved. The waypoint is stored with a name
similar to
(0001)
. The parentheses ( ) indicate that the
waypoint is part of a saved route, and the four-digit num-
ber is used to uniquely identify each waypoint. Each way-
point is automatically given a description consisting of
the time and date the waypoint was stored.
