Adding the cursor position to the end of your trip
To add the cursor position to the end of your trip:
1. Press the
CURSOR PAD
to move the cursor to the desired
location on the
CHART
screen, then press the
CURSOR
menu key.
The
SELECTED CURSOR POSITION
dialog box
appears.
2. If desired, use the
KEYPAD
to change the coordinates; if
not, press the
ADD TO END OF TRIP
key (or press the
CANCEL
key to cancel).
A waypoint called
COORD
is added to the end of the trip,
and the
CHART
screen is displayed. The future trip leg is
displayed in light blue on the CHART screen. Nothing is
erased from the trip. If you were already past the end of
your trip, you’ll immediately begin navigating to this new
position as the active waypoint.
Making a new waypoint
To store a new, named waypoint at the chart location
designated by the cursor:
1. Press the
CURSOR PAD
to move the cursor to the desired
location on the
CHART
screen, then press the
CURSOR
menu key.
The
SELECTED CURSOR POSITION
dialog box
appears.
2. If desired, use the
KEYPAD
to change the coordinates;
next, press the
STORE AS WAYPT/ROUTE
key.
The
STORE AS A WAYPOINT
dialog box appears,
supplying a default waypoint name.
