Status messages
A message about DGPS operations is displayed at the lower
half of the
GPS SATELLITE STATUS
screen. These messages
are described in “Table 3: DGPS status messages” below.
Table 3: DGPS status messages
Message
Meaning
IN USE/ OK
DGPS corrections are being received and used.
OLD CORRECTIONS
No DGPS corrections have been received within the
time limit. The system has returned to non-differential
operation.
NOT INSTALLED
A differential receiver isn’t installed.
BEACON UNHEALTHY
The differential (beacon) transmitter reports technical
problems.
UNHEALTHY SATELLITES
Data received from the satellites is unreliable.
BAD UDRE/IODE
Data received from the satellites is unreliable.
ACQUIRING SATELLITES
Either the GPS receiver can’t operate until it has
received ephemeris data from the satellites, or else
the receiver isn’t tracking enough satellites yet for a
fix.
DGPS NOT IN USE, BUT AVAILABLE
DGPS was turned off at the
RECEIVER SETUP
screen.
USER TURNED OFF
The 961/962 beacon receiver is present, but the
DGPS system was turned off (at the
RECEIVER
SETUP
screen).
SEARCHING
The system is waiting for the 961/962 beacon receiver
to report fully synched differential data.
POOR DOPS
The monitor station that measures differential data
currently has poor satellite geometry.
TOO FEW SATS
There are too few satellites available.
