2. Use the
KEYPAD
to enter a route name (or use the default
route name), then press the
CREATE ROUTE
key.
The
EDIT NEW ROUTE
screen appears.
Edit new route screen
The
EDIT NEW ROUTE
screen comprises two sections:
The top half shows the route as you create it, and the bottom
half shows the list of waypoints from which you can choose.
At the top half of the screen, the right side shows a list of the
new route’s waypoints and legs—as you add them to the new
route; the left side will show a graphical representation of this
route—as you add points to it. (To the right of the
NEXT LEG
column is a red vertical slide bar, which is relative to the size
of the list of waypoints in the route, as you create it. The
smaller the slider, the larger the list; the larger the slider, the
smaller the list. The slider also indicates your relative position
in the list.
The bottom half of this screen displays all the waypoints in the
database; these waypoints are identical to those shown on the
WAYPOINTS
screen. Note that if there is no position fix, the
DISTANCE
and
BRG
columns will be dashed out.
