then press the
INSERT
key to insert the selected waypoint
in this route leg.
3. When finished, press the
DONE
key to store the changes
to the database and return to the
ROUTES
screen.
Deleting route waypoints
To permanently delete individual waypoints from a route (but
not from the database of waypoints):
1. At the
EDIT ROUTE
screen, press either the
MOVE UP
or
MOVE DOWN
keys to highlight the route waypoint you
want to delete, then press the
DELETE
key.
2. Repeat step #1 for each waypoint that you want to delete.
3. When finished, press the
DONE
key to store the changes
to the database and return to the
ROUTES
screen.
Editing a route at
the chart screen
At the
CHART
screen, you can change a route in the following
ways:
•
graphically move waypoints anywhere in a route
•
graphically add waypoints to a route leg
•
graphically add waypoints to the end of a route
•
delete waypoints from the route
Graphically moving a route’s waypoints
1. On the
ROUTES
screen, press the
CURSOR PAD
up or
down to select the desired route.
2. To display the route on the
CHART
screen, press the
ON
CHART
key, then press the
CHART
key.
3. At the
CHART
screen, press the
CURSOR PAD
to select
the route waypoint you want to move.
The name of the selected route must appear in the
CURSOR INFO BAR
; to highlight the route’s waypoint,
you may have to press the
LEFT ARROW
and
RIGHT
ARROW
keys. Pressing these keys lets you select a
named route waypoint, if any, or an unnamed route
waypoint, called
POINT X
.
