Page 11-5
NOTE:
COORD
waypoints are unnamed waypoints that aren’t displayed
on the
WAYPOINTS
screen.
Time of arrival
As you travel, all the information you need to safely and
efficiently plan your trip is updated. For each past waypoint,
your actual time of arrival is displayed. For the active and
future waypoints, the ETA based on your current distance and
SOG is displayed. The
ARRIVAL
field is empty if your present
position is unknown; if your SOG is currently zero; if arrival
time is more than 99 days in the future; or if for a future trip
point you try to display distance and bearing between points.
Remember that ETA is only an estimate because your SOG
may change—either intentionally or due to varying
magnitudes of wind and current.
Displaying the trip
on the chart screen
On the
CHART
screen, past legs of the trip are displayed in
yellow; future trip legs are displayed in light blue; and the
current track to the active waypoint is displayed in green. You
have the option of turning off the display of past trip legs on
the
CHART
screen. For details, see “Changing the chart setup”
starting on page 13-24.
If you change the orientation of the
CHART
screen, the trip’s
waypoint names remain right-side up; and the directional
arrow markers for the trip are changed to correspond to the
new orientation.
Changing the trip
At the
TRIP
screen, you can change the trip in the following
ways:
•
go directly to a new active waypoint (removing any old
active and future points)
•
add a new waypoint (inserting one or adding it to the end)
•
go directly to a future waypoint of the trip (skipping over
and removing intermediate points)
