The
STEER
screen appears, showing navigation to the
active waypoint. You’re going directly from your present
position to this waypoint.
Stopping navigation
Stopping navigation means you can travel without onscreen
navigation messages appearing and without unwanted
waypoint sequencing. In addition, autopilot commands cease
when stopped. Why stop navigation? If you purposely want to
go off-course, for example, simply stop navigation. When
you’re done, you can resume navigation right where you left
off.
To stop waypoint navigation calculations, at the
TRIP
screen
press the
STOP NAV
key (this key isn’t displayed unless there’s
an active waypoint). The message
TRIP STOPPED
is displayed
above the
RESUME NAV
key. To resume navigation
calculations at any time, at the
TRIP
screen press the
RESUME
NAV
key.
