Understanding alarms
Displaying alarms
Alarms are designed to automatically alert you of certain
situations. The status of the alarms is updated every second,
and alarm messages are displayed in four different ways:
•
at the bottom of any screen you’re displaying
•
at the top of the
CHART
screen (this lets you still see the
INFO BAR
s at the bottom of the screen)
•
on the
ALARMS
screen (on this screen, you can manually
“clear,” or stop, new alarms, although some are
auto-clearing, and you can view old alarms, which are
alarms that already have cleared)
•
on the
ECHO SOUNDER
screen (if you’re using the echo
sounder)

On this screen, if there aren’t any new alarms, the
CLEAR
ALARM
key won’t be displayed.
