Maximum number
of saved waypoints
When you use the
SAVE
key to save a waypoint, a sequential
waypoint number (
*SAVED00*
,
*SAVED01*
,
*SAVED02*
, and
so on) is automatically saved for each waypoint. When the
sequential number reaches the designated value you set in the
SAVE WPTS
field, the number starts over at 00, and overwrites
the saved waypoint previously designated as number 00.
You can set the maximum number of
*SAVEDXX*
waypoints
to 10, 20, or 100 waypoints. For many applications, you may
want to set this maximum number to 10, provided you
promptly rename any *
SAVEDXX*
waypoints you want to
retain before they’re overwritten. The factory default setting is
100
*SAVEDXX*
waypoints.
To change the maximum number of *
SAVEDXX*
waypoints:
1. At the
DISPLAY SETUP
screen, press the
CURSOR PAD
to
highlight the
SAVE WPTS
option, then press the
EDIT
key.
2. Press the
CURSOR PAD
left or right or press the
ARROW
keys to select either
10
,
20
, or
100
.
3. When done, press the
ACCEPT
key (or
CANCEL
to leave
the option unchanged).
Your
*SAVEDXX*
waypoints are now automatically
numbered up to the value you’ve set, at which point
previously saved waypoints will start to be overwritten.
To permanently save a
*SAVEDXX*
waypoint, rename it
with an original name—before it is overwritten.
4. Press
RETURN
to go back to the
SETUP MENU
screen.
