GPS receiver self-test and software revision
The internal GPS receiver runs a self-test each time you
power-up. The box on the right of the
GPS RCVR ST/REV
field
displays the software version used by your GPS receiver, and
the self-test message
PASS
or
FAIL
is displayed on the left.
This box should read
PASS
, not
FAIL
. If the message
FAIL
is
displayed, return the 961/962 to Northstar for service.
Processor memory
The
MEMORY
field displays the amount of memory currently
installed, and is used for diagnostic purposes only.
Configuring the
receiver
The
RECEIVER INFORMATION
screen provides you with
access to several of the GPS and DGPS receiver (if installed)
functions. To display these functions, press the
STAR
key until
you reach the
SERVICE MENU
screen, then press the
RECEIVER SETUP
key.
