III. SETTING OUT OF AREA CODE (LONG DISTANCE CODE)
The default OUT OF AREA code for U.S. is "1". This value is
automatically inserted to the outbound telephone number if a
10 digits telephone number does not match any of the set 7
Local area code.
1. In BASE MENU, press UP or DOWN
button to search for "EDIT AREA CODE".
2. Press OK button to select.
3. Press UP or DOWN button to search for "OUT OF AREA".
4. Press OK button to select and the unit asks you to enter the
area code.
5. Enter the Out Of Area Code - a number(s) that require to
enter before making a long distance call. e.g. "1". If you make
a mistake, press the DELETE button to delete the character
on the left of the cursor.
6. Press OK button to save.
7. Press CANCEL button twice to return to standby mode.
IV.ENABLING OR DISABLING THE AREA CODE FUNCTION
This allows you to enable or disable the auto area code
matching. To dial back a number in a format that match with
the setting of Home Area Code, Local Area Codes and Out Of
Area Code. The Area Code Function must be set to "FUNC
ENABLE". The default mode is “FUNC DISABLE”.
1. In BASE MENU, press UP or DOWN button to search for "EDIT
AREA CODE".
2. Press OK button to select.
3. Press UP or DOWN button to search
for "EN/DIS FUNC".
4. Press OK button to select.
5. Press UP or DOWN button to enable or disable the function.
6. Press OK button to select.
7. Press CANCEL button twice to return to standby mode.
e. SET DATE/TIME:
NOTE:
The time set is for the LCD Display time. If CALLER ID
signal comes in the time will adjust automatically.
1. In BASE MENU, press UP or DOWN button
to search for "SET DATE/TIME".
2. Press OK button to select. The current time
is displayed and the hour entry is blinking.
3. Press UP or DOWN button to change hour. While the hour is
adjusted, the AM or PM setting will change after every 12th hour.
4. Press MENU button to move to minute entry. Press UP or DOWN
button to change minutes.
