Maintain the machine by adopting a program of routine repair and maintenance in accordance with
the following recommended procedures. It is recommended that the general condition of any tool be
examined before it is used. Also refer to the engine manufacturer’s instruction manual for additional
information about engine maintenance. The following chart is based on a normal operation schedule.
Maintenance Interval
Maintenance Point
Every 25 hours
Check the hydraulic oil level and check for any external leaks.
Fill to correct operating level, as-needed. Repair or replace
leaking components, as-needed.
Check the bushings and replace if there is looseness between
pins and bushings.
Check the engine
’s oil level before each use.
Every 50 hours
Check the hydraulic oil level and check for any external leaks.
Check the hydraulic hoses for looseness, damage or wear and
tighten or replace if required.
Use compressed air to clean or Replace the air cleaner.
Check the fuel lines and clamp bands. Tighten or replace, as-
needed.
Check the engine
’s oil level. Fill to proper level, as-needed.
Every 100 hours
Change engine oil and filter.
Test all functions in operation. Repair any items which do not
operate properly.
Check and clean spark plug(s).
Replace the fuel filter.
Replace the air cleaner element.
Remove cooling shrouds and clean cooling areas.
Check oil cooler fins and clean as necessary.
Every 500 hours
Change the hydraulic fluid.
Change the hydraulic filter.
Remove any sediment in the fuel tank.
Air Cleaner
IMPORTANT:
The air filter ensures the air entering the engine is clean. Dirty air will reduce engine
performance and life.
Operating conditions will determine how often the air filter will need to be changed. Changing the air
filter is recommended over cleaning it.
The service schedule recommendation for 50-hour intervals between air filter changes is based on
average operating conditions. If dusty conditions prevail, filter should be cleaned before each shift or
every 8 operating hours. Replacement intervals should be reduced as-well.
