The messages the unit can send are:
Message
Meaning
Transient Fault
Sent when the indicator has detected a transient type of fault
Permanent Fault
Sent when the indicator has detected a permanent type of
fault
Loss of voltage
Sent when the E-field sensor has detected a loss of voltage (No
faults)
Low battery warning
Sent when the remaining battery capacity is less than 20%
Boot message
Sent when LineTroll is powered up or after a software reset
(watchdog reset)
Heartbeat message
Message sent in configurable interval to verify that the device
is working correctly
Response/reciept message
Sent as a receipt on commands sent to the unit (settings,
status check etc.)
Each of the above messages can be switched ON/OFF.
The Loss of Voltage message is switched OFF by default. However, this message will appear
when the indicator has detected a fault and the alarm message shall be sent even if this
message is switched OFF. Also when the indicator detects a de-energized line and a status
request is received, the response message will contain information about Loss of Voltage.
GSM Status LED’s
To monitor the status of the communication, the LineTroll R400D is fitted with three LED’s.
Green: GSM Network Status
Yellow: Connection to the APN
Red:
Data traffic on TCP/IP (confirms connection with TCP/IP Gateway in NetTroll)
GPRS:
GREEN: Flash slowly when connecting and fast when
connected to the GSM network.
Yellow: Flash when TCP connection with the APN is
confirmed.
Red:
Flash when a TCP/IP packet is sent or
received. This confirms connection with the
TCP/IP Gateway in NetTroll.
In GPRS mode, it will not be indicated by
LED’s when SMS is sent.
SMS only:
When the R400D is set up to only send SMS, only the
green LED will flash to confirm connection with the
GSM network. No other LED’s will operate.
