› After installing the drill bit, pull 
lightly on the bit to make sure that it 
does not come loose. If the bit is not 
installed properly, it can come loose 
during use, which can be dangerous.
› Use a bit that is appropriate for the 
application.
› Hold the power tool with a firm grip. 
High reaction torque can briefly occur.
› Check that any bit to be used is not 
cracked or broken. Broken or cracked 
bits are dangerous.
› If the ring securing the bit is 
damaged, the socket may come off 
during use causing personal injury.
