Operation OEM6 Cards and Enclosures
Before operating the receiver for the first time, read the installation instructions in
Chapter 3, Installation FlexPak6 & FlexPak6D Enclosures
The following instructions are based on a configuration similar to

4.1
Communications with the Receiver
Communication is established with the receiver using a data terminal or computer connected to one of the
receiver’s serial ports using a null modem, USB or Ethernet cable.
When connected to the receiver, enter commands directly from the terminal or through terminal emulation
software (such as NovAtel Connect or HyperTerminal) on a computer.
To maximize the application of the receiver’s capabilities, become familiar with the commands and logs
described in the
OEM6 Family Firmware Reference Manual
(OM-20000129).
Note the figure above does not show all necessary hardware. Also see
on page 56 for a base/rover example.
COM3 is LVTTL and signal conversion may be required depending on the equipment
connected.
