Note •
Depending on the Application Catalog configuration, it may be necessary to pass additional command-line
parameters, such as the Application Catalog name.
Creating Shortcuts to Specific Standalone Application Catalogs
For convenience, you may want to create a Windows shortcut to launch ConflictSolver and automatically connect
to a specific Application Catalog.
Task:
To create the shortcut:
1.
On the Windows Desktop, right-click, point to New, and select Shortcut. The Create Shortcut Wizard appears.
2.
Click the Browse button and navigate to the ConflictSolver executable (
ISCMIDE.exe
). Typically, it is in the
AdminStudio Installation Directory
\ConflictSolver
directory. When you have located it, click OK and
then click Next.
3.
Type a name for the shortcut and click Finish. The new shortcut appears on the Desktop.
4.
Right-click on the shortcut and select Properties.
5.
In the
Properties
dialog box, append the necessary command-line parameters to the end of the target, such
as:
iscmide.exe -S"sql_server_name" -U"user_id" -P"password"
6.
Click OK to dismiss the dialog box.
Note •
If you are creating a shortcut to a Microsoft SQL Server Application Catalog, you need to provide values for
the SQL Server name, UserID, password, and Application Catalog name using the -S or -O, -U, -P, and -D
parameters. See
