Creating a Disaster Recovery Solution
The most important part of an effective disaster recovery solution is having a current and valid
backup. You can create backups either manually or as part of a Database Maintenance Plan.

Preparing Your Database
The installation of ZENworks Patch Management sets your database to a recovery model
of
Simple
. To use
Transaction Logs
, and thus increase the quality of your disaster recovery
solution, you should change the recovery model to
Full
.
Changing the Database Recovery Model
1.
Open the
Microsoft SQL Server Management Studio
(
Start > Programs > Microsoft
SQL Server 2005 > SQL Server Management Studio
).
2.
Log into your database server.
3.
Expand your server group, server, and database folder until you see the
PLUS
database.
4.
Right-click on the
PLUS
database.
