7. BACKUP
7.1. HDD backup on PC.
PC Viewer software allows to review and backup some recordings from swappable HDD on PC.
Swappable HDD can be connected only to IDE port directly. Using USB interface is impossible.
Detailed information is included in the manual of PC Viewer. PC Viewer software and manuals are
included on CD.
7.2. Compact Flash Backup (NV-DVR1004NET only)
Digital Multiplexer NV-DVR1004NET is equipped with an interface allowing to connect Compact
Flash memory cards. The memory card input socket is placed on the front panel next to the HDD bay.
The manufacturer advises utilizing only SanDisk and Transcend cards bought in authorized Novus
distributors. Other cards may not operate properly.
Notice: During backup process computer network connection is prohibited. It is advised
to disconnect the device physically from the net for the duration of backup process
if there is a risk of incoming net connection.
Notice: Backup can proceed only in playback mode. Because device operates as a simplex,
take into consideration that during backup process there is no recording possible
.
Notice: Recordings proceeded in QUAD mode can be backup only as a “quad pictures”. Only
recordings proceeded in MUX mode allow selecting each channel.
The memory card should be inserted with caution to prevent the memory card socket from being
damaged. The memory card should be inserted only in one way - the sticker with company logo and
capacity should face left.
