Operation
Proceed as follows in order to put PowerPlant into operation:
Mount PowerPlant in a standard 19“ rack or cabinet. In order to make
use of the rack light, mount PowerPlant to the uppermost rack slot.
Connect PowerPlant via the internal AC cord to the mains.
Connect the external peripherals to the IEC outlets. For best results
you should assign the peripherals to the corresponding outlet groups
(DIGITAL, ANALOG, HIGH POWER).
Turn PowerPlant on: the WIRING ON and ZONE 1 – 3 LEDs (if in use)
should light green. In addition, the incoming mains voltage should
be displayed in the range from 170 to 260 VAC.
If required, pull out the LED light and turn it on via the corresponding
switch (HIGH or LOW).
Troubleshooting
If you encounter any problems while using PowerPlant, proceed as
follows:
No voltage output at the IEC outlets
• Make sure that PowerPlant is properly connected to the mains
supply and switched on.
• Please check whether the 10A OUTPUT BREAKER has triggered: in
this case the BREAKER OPEN LED lights red.
• Turn PowerPlant off and disconnect the device from the mains.
Remove all external loads and reset the Output Breaker. Connect the
device to the mains and turn it on again.
ABNORMAL VOLTAGE LED lights red, the voltage meter displays an
invalid value
• When the incoming mains voltage exceeds the valid voltage range
from 170 to 260 VAC, PowerPlant turns off. Remove the device from
the mains and consult an experienced electrician.
Audible hum when connected to PowerPlant
• Connected peripherals are possibly not grounded via PowerPlant.
In this case, connect the frame ground of the device with the CHAS-
SIS GROUND on the back of PowerPlant.
• If the devices are humming while they are connected to the CHAS-
SIS GROUND, remove the connection.
