In general, when not on the boat, you’ll have the green items above (Main DC, Salon Lights, and Bilge Pump breakers)
“On” (the bilge pumps will be in the left, “Auto” position).
When you are aboard, you’ll also have the Blue items above (Electronics, Horn, Trim Tabs, Wipers, Forward, Starboard,
and Galley Lights, Fresh Water, Vacuum, and Sump Pumps, Black Water Discharge, Head Vent, DC Outlets, Windshield
Lift, DC Fridge, Freezer, Flybridge Fridge and Stereo Inverter) also “On”.
The Engine Room Blowers, Instruments, Navigation Lights, Spreader Lights, Anchor Light, Engine Room & Lazarette
Lights, and Deck and Courtesy Lights breakers should be “On” only if you need/are using those item. Note, too, the “*”
Cablemaster breaker instruction.
The three bilge pump switches by the engine room bilge pump breakers. The switches control the operation of each
pump as follows: In the “AUTO” position, the pump is controlled by its own float switch. This is the normal position for
these switches. In the “ON” position the pump is running under the operator’s control; this might be used to test the
pumps, or to see how much water is in the bilge.
