Call Options
You can customise settings related to call functions, such as the any key answering option,
voicemail and SMS access.
1. On the home screen, press Start > All Programs > More >Settings > Phone > Call Options.
Available setting options:
• Any key answer: When this option is activated, you can answer incoming calls by pressing any key.
• Show SIM contacts: With this option activated, the contact cards stored on the SIM card
are shown in Contacts.
• Phone number: Check your phone number.
• Voicemail number: When you insert your SIM card into your Xda Venn, it automatically detects and
sets your voicemail number.
• Text messages service centre: When you insert your SIM card into your Xda Venn, SMS accesses the
number by default. If not, you can manually enter the numbers given to you by your service provider.
• Country code: You can enter a country code to be automatically added at the beginning of
a phone number.
• Area code: You can enter an area code to be automatically added at the beginning of
a phone number.
2. Press Done.
Call Waiting
You can turn the call waiting notification on and off, as you like. If it is turned on, then you will automatically
be notified of any incoming call that occurs during a telephone conversation.
1. On the home screen, press Start > All Programs > More > Settings > Phone > Call Waiting.
2. Select or clear Provide call waiting notifications, then press Done.
Caller ID
When you make a call, you can choose to have your phone number displayed or hidden from the
person you’re calling. This option lets you set your Caller ID so it can be displayed to Everyone, No one,
or Only my contacts.
Channels
This option allows you to set the cell broadcast (CB) message receipt and set up broadcast channels from
which you want to receive CB messages.
• Enable channels: Select to enable the receipt of CB messages.
• Receive channel list: Select to receive a list of all available broadcast channels from the network.
• Language: Select your preferred languages to display CB messages.
NOTE: To edit the channel list, press the Menu and select Edit Channels. Then press the Menu and select the
options for adding, deleting or editing channels.
