Setting up browser options
Besides the network connections, the Settings menu
offers various browser options.
[02_O2_6_3] [02_O2_6_3_1]
Cascading Style Sheets.
Your phone can download with
or without Cascading Style Sheet (CSS) information. Not
using CSS will
improve download and render time
, but
the visibility features added by the content author will
be lost.
[02_O2_6_3_1_1]
Refresh.
Some Internet languages support a feature
to automatically refresh a document. In a subscription
where the user pays for each downloaded byte,
disabling Refresh can help
reduce costs
.
[02_O2_6_3_2_1]
Narrow rendering.
Most common Internet pages
perform poorly on a mobile device. You may wish
to enable narrow rendering as a partial solution to
maintain the author’s original design
when possible.

Show images.
It is becoming more and more common
to include images, movies, and sound in browser
content. Some subscriptions require you to pay for each
downloaded byte. Thus, you can
disable the download
of these media objects in this and the following menu.
[02_O2_6_3_4_1]
Objects with no MIME.
Manage download of objects
that are not specifi ed by the link (No MIME info).

History size.
History keeps track of previously visited
links (Default: 100). Sometimes it may be useful to be
able to reset the history size. For instance, by setting
the size to one (only the current page is in the history
list), it can be used to clear the history list of sensitive
information.
[02_O2_6_3_6 _1]
Cache.
Enabling the cache will
improve the
performance
by using stored information when using
Enter address, homepage or bookmarks. Disabling the
cache can be useful for test purposes when content
constantly changes, to ensure the content is truly
reloaded each time the page is requested.
The Cache is accessible from both the Internet Services
and Options menus, and can be changed during an
active session.
