Before you start using your SmartLinQ, there
are some important things to remember:
• Your SmartLinQ relies on network coverage. If you go
where there’s no coverage, it won’t work.
• Your SmartLinQ uses location services to find you if
needed. These can vary in their accuracy.
• It also has a fall detector. This is switched off when you
first receive the SmartLinQ to prevent false alarms. You
can switch it on using the Help at Hand website, or by
asking the organisation that gave it to you to do this.
• The fall detector is as accurate as it can be, but in a
small number of cases it may not detect a fall, or could
go off by accident.
• We may disconnect the service if there is misuse, such as
repeated pressing of the Panic button.
